SIOUX CRAPE MYRTLE CARE This luminous dark pink flowered tree is an exceptionally fast grower and does best in full sun to partial shade and moist, well-drained soil. Prefers alkaline soil and is powdery mildew resistant. A true southern classic! How to Plant Sioux Crape Myrtles To plant this crape myrtle dig a hole the size of the growing container. To plant in the hole, place the tree to the top of the root ball and fill it back with soil. Pack it down but not too tight. The roots need room to expand. This flowering tree does not ship bare root. It is rooted in a container with soil for the health of the tree.
