When housed in rich quality soil you will see a more robust plant overall. Soil pH should be between 6.1 to 6.8. Fertilize bi-monthly with houseplant food. Repot the plant as needed. If the plant becomes droopy even after watering or if roots are growing out of its drainage holes, this is a sure sign that you need to repot your plant. Pothos Watering Water your pothos regularly, allowing the soil to dry out completely between waterings. Depending upon the local relative humidity in your region, expect to water your pothos plants about once a week. Be sure to avoid over watering so as to prevent root rot. Pothos Lighting pothos plants need moderate to bright ambient light, but some varieties can even thrive in low light conditions. Since they are native to the tropical Solomon Islands, we want to recreate these same environmental conditions within our home, as much as it is possible. Pothos Temperature Remember, pothos plants are tropical and enjoy temperatures between 65 to 75 degrees Fahrenheit. They thrive best in high humidity environments but can withstand lower humidity as well.
